Our History

CareerVision started as a small company based in picturesque Cornwall with little more than a handful of staff and a single product developed for the Careers Service Market.

Now based in Cheshire, with over 30 years’ experience and more than 40 members of staff, CareerVision are able to offer a wide range of database solutions and services including database hosting, training, and consultation.

In 1993 Core was launched, this was developed in consultation with Sheffield Careers, who are now part of Sheffield City Council.

2001 saw the introduction of the Connexions Service. We developed Core+, our market leading CCIS database, in partnership with Greater Merseyside Connexions to meet the statutory requirements on the DfE (Department of Education).

The subsequent year saw the launch of our youth activity database, e-YS, which was developed with South Yorkshire youth services. 2009 began with the introduction of our new Integrated Youth Support Solution (Core+ IYSS), which replaced all of our existing products, bringing everything together into a single, unified solution.

We now use a common framework that offers total flexibility, reliability, quality, and ease of use; and all of it delivered from a web browser. Since then we have successfully moved all of our clients onto the new platform. In 2013 we launched our very successful Youth Justice Solution. This was closely followed by the development of our Core+ IYSS S.M.A.S.H Solution in 2014 and AssetPlus development in 2015/16.
